The Sold Out HIM Signing & Concert

Hey,

I attended the HIM signing yesterday (4-23-10) @ Hot Topic and later went to the concert @ The Wiltern. I was out the whole day on my feet the lines at these two venues were ridiculously long especially at The Wiltern. The line wrapped around the block past the Denny's past the The Wiltern Parking lot and then stop at the very end of the parking structure and then curved into a U back on the same sidewalk going in the opposite direction.

Yeah. . . . .

The signing was amazing it sold out that day and I also got to talk to a couple of my fellow HIM fans. They were just as excited as I was about what was happening that day. The signing was suppose to start at 4pm but didn't start till 4:30p which was okay. I got to see members of the band and had a chance to make small talk with Ville Valo the lead singer of the band.

I know, I know. . . I couldn't help myself :D. (video below Autograph's)

Plus this time around they really strategically blocked the fans (us) from really trying to have any physical contact with with them i.e. (asking for a hug, a kiss on the cheek, oh can you guys sign my chest. . . . lol) I felt like there record company had something to do with that. And if so they are the reason why their fans base has not grown, because I think their label has fail to invest in them and really promote them so they can travel to more countries instead of the same time route they've been doing. I mean people are literally starting there own HIM/Heartagram Street Team all over, especially in places where they have fans but the band has either been to once or never. And as for the concert door were to open at 7:30pm I got there at 5:45pm by bus from Hot Topic at Hollywood & Highland. When I arrived the line was freakin long. I felt like was doing one of those The Walk Of Shame walks, yeah . . . that was not pretty. Anyways I made my way to the back of the line. Again I chatted it up with a couple of more people as always. Then by 6:30pm they line started to move, and not slow either it was moving pretty quickly. I made my way inside I had Floor tickets. I found a spot, but the entire night I am watching the back of this IDIOT'S HEAD. I was not happy. So I guess you could say I spent my whole night moving my head from side to side and stretching my neck as far up as I possible could. And at the same time try to consider the people behind me that are trying to see the band as well. All this from 7:30 to 11:30pm I felt somewhat cheated out of my HIM experience because of a huge, gigantic, tall person who felt the need to be in front when he can so easily stand in the back. I mean your tall why do you need to be in the front. *so pissed* (video below of BIG HEADS)

The concert was great 3 bands played before HIM came on. The first was Drive A, second was Dommin and the third was We Are The Fallen. So far I like all of them but would probably end up following up on We Are The Fallen and Dommin. To me they were great opening acts. The last time HIM was in town was in 2007 at The Orpheum and the opening act at the time was Bleeding Through (that was not good) I didn't stick around to listen, need to use the restroom XD.

DRIVE A
DOMMIN

WE ARE THE FALLEN

When HIM came out on stage it was like the whole place was about to cave in. I mean the venue was SOLD OUT. The band looked great on stage Ville was very happy and excited that night. Bam Margera was there, up in the balcony seats but I couldn't see him from where I was and didn't care to either. I was more interested in this great performance HIM was giving us. They played all the favorites Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly, Join Me In Death, Right Here In My Arms, Bleed Well, Wicked Game and Kiss Of Dawn. But they also play the new songs from their lasted album Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice, Chapters 1-13. Songs like Heartkiller, Ode to Solitude, Scared To Death, Katherine Wheel, In The Arms of Rain, and Like St. Valentine. They did an encore of Rebel Yell.

Video is uploaded from my other youtube account. (mrsassyriavalo)
(for some reason I was unable to use blogger's video software, I think this site was unable to process a 6 min video. I am very disappointed with this site. :( )

All in all I was glad to be able to go and see HIM live again this was my fifth time seeing them live and twice for the signing @ Hot Topic. I hope to see them again in concert. HIM is a great band and I think more people should know about them and listen to the wonderful music that they make.

Peace, Love and Heartagram's :)

Trent Married!!! Where was I when all of this happend . . .

I was surfing the Internet and realized how out of touch I am with the World Wide Web. My PCs been f***up since August 2008 (yeah I know) that was the same year I traveled to Finland. And ever since then I haven't been able to get it fixed. All of my videos and pictures on that hard drive. So instead I bought a new HP netbook this past February. I needed it because I was really starting to feel disconnected from the Internet especially from my Myspace, YouTube and new Facebook account.

The reason I am mentioning this is because I just found out on some random google search on another topic that lead me to news that shocked me. Trent Reznor is engaged! and then Trent Reznor is married! I know that this is probably old news to some people, well most people but it was defiantly new news to me. And all this happen in 2009, its 2010 now! Where was I in all of this?

Trent Reznor & new wife Mariqueen Maandig

I feel really silly right now. I am a fan of Nine Inch Nails and I feel like I should know everything, but I don't. I used to be glue to my computer. But lately life has really been blocking my way. What I mean by that is the stress of reality. The stress of knowing that when you get up early in the morning to go to work isn't because your earning more for yourself but also for those you own money too. For example: Rent, Light, gas, home phone, cell phone and one credit card bill. I find this to be very upsetting for me. I mean for once I would actually like to spend the money that I worked so hard for on things that I like and enjoy but even that may not be possible at times. Back in February I had to decide to either purchase HIM tickets or pay the up coming cell phone bill.

I chose HIM, sorry sprint!

HIM ROCKS !!
